B.Ed Full Form The BEd full form is Bachelor of Education. This is typically an undergraduate teacher and is designed for candidates who wish to pursue a career in teaching. Latest Update on BEd Course The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is set to reintroduce the one-year B.Ed program starting from the 2026-27 academic session. This decision aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and marks the return of the program after a decade-long hiatus. The one-year BEd course will be available exclusively for candidates who have completed a four-year degree or a postgraduate program. The two-year BEd course will continue for those with a three-year graduation. The council is expected to announce the detailed brochure along with admission details soon. BEd Course Eligibility Criteria Applying for the BEd course is applicable to candidates who qualify for the minimum age limit and educational qualification. BEd Age Limit The minimum age limit to apply for a BEd course is 21 years. However, there is no age limit to apply for admission to the course.
