What is CTET?

CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). It is a national-level examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) twice a year (July and December) to ascertain the candidate’s eligibility for recruitment as a teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti or others. There shall be two papers in the CTET 2025 exam.

Paper I will be for candidates who intend to become teachers for classes I to V. Paper II will be for aspirants who intend to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. However, if a candidate wants to become a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII), they have to participate in both papers (Paper I and Paper II).

CTET Educational Qualification 2025

The basic CTET educational qualification is 12th pass with at least 45% aggregate to apply for the CTET primary teacher exam. While aspirant must be a graduate with at least 45% aggregate or a 12th pass with at least 50% aggregate to apply for the CTET elementary stage teacher exam. CTET 2025 Exam Pattern

CTET 2025 Qualifying Marks: OBC/ SC/ ST/ Gen

CTET 2025 Certificate and Marksheet

CBSE publishes CTET mark sheets of all the candidates and CTET eligibility certificates to qualified candidates in Digital Format in their DigiLocker account. The mark sheets and eligibility certificates will be signed digitally and will be a valid and legal document. It comprises an encrypted QR Code to improve security. You can scan and verify the QR code using the DigiLocker mobile app.

The DigiLocker accounts of all present candidates will be made and the account credentials will be provided to them on their mobile numbers registered with CBSE. They will also be able to download their digital mark sheet and CTET 2025 eligibility certificates using the provided credentials.

CTET Certificate 2025: Validity

The validity of the CTET qualifying certificate will be for a lifetime for all categories. There is no limit on the number of attempts aspirants can take to obtain a CTET Certificate. Also, candidates who are declared CTET qualified can also appear again to improve their score.

However, merely qualifying the CTET would not provide the right to any individual for recruitment/employment as it is considered as one of the eligibility requirements for appointment.
